Before having your residence or office Feng Shuied always make sure to have your home, apartment, or office have a thorough energy healing of the land, home & air. The reason for this is that the Feng Shui plan will work much better with no blocks.
Tip #4 Old treasures & the energy they carry from their former owners.
Antiques of all kinds, antiques from secondhand shops, and antiques from family & friends. Any items you pick up & bring to your own home need to be energetically cleared. The energy they carry can affect you & your health. This also applies to clothing from secondhand shops & clothing handed down from a deceased person. Should be washed & cleared with sage smudged or reikied. There is also sage spray you can use.
Tip # 3 How to clear clutter
Play a drum i.e. Native American drum or other kind of drum. You can also use a shaker and/or tig bells, play these instruments in the corners where the piles & clutter are. They start to break up the stuck energy & make it easier for you to sort it out & remove it. After you have cleared, removed, or organized it, play the instrument again and/or smudge with sage or sage spray.

Tip #1 Smudge your residence
Smudging is lighting a bundle of tied sage leaves & letting them smolder & carefully blowing the smoke around your home. The smoke clears the air of heavy energy.
You can also clear yourself with sage. The smudging will clear you of heavy energy after an intense day. Please do this outside & be careful not to drop any embers on yourself & be mindful of the smoke detectors and not to set them off.
FYI there is also a sage spray you can use.
